Agricultural fertilizers brought to the small-scale farmer for optimal crop performance.

Formulated for small-scale farming

Small-scale farmers are often not able to buy all the products that their crop requires. This is why Atlas formulates its products to contain NPK, micro and trace elements for each application. The result is less application of products and better nutrient balance in the plant. Ultimately increasing the productivity of a growers efforts.

For Small-Scale Farmers

Veg-Mix 7.9.9
Basal Blend | Product Specifications: 50kg bag or 10kg bucket – powder form.
A trusted base fertilizer for all vegetables.

Originally formulated for healthy cabbage, Veg-Mix quickly proved its value across every crop. Its balanced NPK profile and fortified organic base deliver steady nutrition that supports strong root development and consistent growth.

Use once-off upfront on cabbages for full-season feeding, or combine with The Real McCoy for larger heads. On tomatoes, pair with The Real McCoy or Organi-C for superior fruit size and quality.

Benefits:
  • Farmers’ notice: healthy transplants, and more uniform harvests
  • Dual action: feeds today’s crop while rebuilding soil for next season
  • Slow-release formula: nutrients stay available longer, reducing waste and leaching
  • Soil health: supports active soil life for better structure and nutrient uptake
  • Low burn risk: organically buffered, low-salt formulation safe for delicate growth stages
How to Apply:
  • Cabbage / Tomatoes / Potatoes / Peppers & Chillies: apply 1 × 250 ml cup per running metre at planting. Mix well into the soil to form a firm, even seedling bed. This helps roots spread easily and take up nutrients more evenly.
  • Fruiting Trees: apply 1 × 250 ml cup mixed with excavated soil in a ½ m × ½ m × ½ m hole at planting. Mix thoroughly before backfilling – young roots can burn if fertilizer is concentrated in one spot.
  • Sugar Cane: apply 1 × 22 cup per running metre at planting.

Practical advice from Atlas agronomists on soil health, crop nutrition, and sustainable growing practices that deliver results across diverse growing conditions.

Soil Health
Putting Life Back Into Your Soil
South African commercial agriculture operates at a demanding intersection of climatic uncertainty and economic volatility. For today's farmers, the margin for error has eroded to near non-existence.
Soil Health
Less Soil on the Tyre. Healthier Soil in the Field.
In South African commercial agriculture, operational efficiency is directly tied to profitability. Every tractor pass across a paddock comes with a clear financial cost; fuel, operator hours, and mechanical wear and tear; alongside a hidden agronomic cost: soil compaction.
Soil Health
Living Soil. Healthy Crops.
True agricultural yield is built from the ground up. For decades, modern farming practices have treated soil as an inert medium; a physical anchor to be flooded with synthetic chemical fertilizers. However, feeding the plant while neglecting the subterranean ecosystem eventually degrades soil structure, leading to hardpan conditions, poor water holding capacity, and declining nutrient efficiency.
